How These Marketing Students Are Landing Customers

Starting your own social media or digital marketing agency isn’t always easy, and anything you can find that will help you along the way will be a huge benefit. 1. Twelve Clients in 3 Months

One of the aspects of starting The Digital Marketing School that I have enjoyed so much is hearing from my students and seeing how the materials have impacted their business.

I was so excited when one of my student’s, Deric, reached out in our public Facebook group to update us on his progress this year and to offer his own words of advice to other group members.

One of the things I hear most often when people reach out with feedback about our courses is that they’re very easy to follow along. Just as Deric says here, so long as you do the work outlined, you’ll be able to land clients.

Deric shared with me that he was able to land 12 clients for his marketing agency in just 3 months using our course content. Now that’s the kind of success we love to hear about!

So, if you want to land more clients, be like Deric—be attentive, follow the steps, do the work. Soon enough you’ll be raking in 6 figures too.

2. Ten Thousand a Month in Revenue

If you already subscribe to our YouTube channel, then you may have seen my conversation with Kalah, another one of my students who was able to take what she learned from our courses and apply it to her own growing digital marketing company.

Kalah came across a career in social media marketing, and our course, in a very organic way. After realizing becoming a doctor wasn’t going to allow her to live her life to the fullest, she realized that digital marketing was much more her speed.

Before finding our material, Kalah didn’t have a background in social media or digital marketing, but she was able to learn everything she needed to start her own business.

Kalah came across Cereal Entrepreneur through our free YouTube videos and knew it was the right fit for her. As she puts it, we were giving away such good content up front and for free that she had to find out what she’d be able to learn if she dropped a little money.

Like Deric, Kalah is a great example of how perseverance is the true key to success—we provided her with great tools and tricks and outlines to follow, but she went out there and did the work to land her first $15,000 branding contract.

That first contract then turned into a $5,000 monthly retainer for the same client, and her digital marketing agency has only continued to flourish, allowing her land several clients and begin generating $10,000 a month in revenue.
