Google Alerts is the most well known, and can find content and conversation all across the internet. Tweetdeck can help you to monitor hashtags on Twitter, while Hootsuite can do the same for Facebook including generic, non-hashtag search terms.
Social Mention can help you find mentions of your brand, while Klout can keep track of your engagement metrics. Likealyzer performs a similar role but has more Facebook specific features. Finally, consider using HowSociable to see how your competitors are doing.
Optimize Your Page for Search
Another overlooked part of learning how to market on Facebook is SEO. While you’ve certainly heard the term in reference to digital marketing on the whole. However, it’s also a crucial part of your Facebook marketing strategy.
To make sure that you’re appearing in searches, you should be threading relevant keywords through all of your Facebook posts. You also need to be working strongly on your engagement, as every comment and like will help boost you in search results. Use the keywords in the first 75 words of your page information, as well.
If you know how to make a Facebook ad, you know that you can always choose “Generate Leads” as a campaign type. However, you might not know how to use it as part of your Facebook marketing strategy.
